Exclusive: PJ Morton Performs in Paris at Bizz’art

By

This week, PJ Morton brought his “Gumbo World Tour” to Paris, where he performed for a packed house at the famous Bizz’art Club.

Backed by his band, the singer-songwriter and Maroon 5 keyboardist delivered a stirringly soulful set of favorites off his brand new album Gumbo, along with tracks off his previous album New Orleans, and mixtape Bounce and Soul.

Morton shared his Nawlin’s energy with the crowd performing some Stevie Wonder covers, and had fans singing along to this 2013 single “Only One,” which features the iconic Wonder on harmonica.

PJ Morton recently released the playful video for his song “Go Thru Your Phone” off his Gumbo album. After he wraps up his headlining tour on Oct. 21, the singer will join Ledisi and Kirk Franklin as the supporting act on “The Rebel, The Soul and The Saint Tour,” which kicks off Oct. 25 in Oakland, CA.
