Here is a new artist for you to check out. His name is Rickey Hayes Shelton, known as D. Hayes, a singer/songwriter from Texas. He is readying the release of his debut album Lost In Translation, and has recently released an EP of the same name to introduce his voice to the world. I like his voice and tone but im not feeling his lyrics..if he gets a songwriter he could be dope. just my opinion though!!
Good singing voice, its the material thats weak. Nothing here make me want to buy it but with FAR more soulful content his voice would do great things. HE is talented, the music is disposable mainly but ‘reason for these words’ is on the right page. Don’t these record execs geddit? We don’t and WON’T waste our hard-earned dough on formulaic crap anymore. We want MUSIC! Sack a few idiot execs and get someone in who actually knows what grown folks like.

I dont know about everybody else but I LOVE Lost in Translation!! I’ve listened to it a couple of times now and not only is he talented but his songs remind me of that GOOD R&B that I love to hear. I wish D. Hayes all the luck in his future endeavors and I can’t wait to hear more from this artist!!

I’m in to it! I think this Artist is far more talented than the majority. After listening to reason for these words and jaded I’m sold. He gives straight up Artistry and let’s you know he can sell records. Lost in Translation…D.Hayes…Drop a cd and I’ll buy it.
