As we reported in October Ryan Leslie had a priceless bag stolen from his car while he was on stage performing in Cologne, Germany. The bag contained Ryan’s personal laptop computer, hard drives, passport and other personal effects. The singer/songwriter/producer recorded a plea video offering a $20,000 reward for the return of the items. After that request went unanswered he upped the reward substantially to $1 million (I was shocked at the huge increase). Still, no one turned in his property. Earlier this week Germany newspapers and news websites reported the bag was found and turned into authorities.
The man responsible for the return is going by the name Bernd. P (name was changed for press, 52 years old), says he was going for a walk in the woods of Stommelerbusch, on November 27th, when he stumbled upon the bag. After handing the bag over to police Bernd P. began trying to contact Ryan Leslie about the reward. He has now taken the story to the press since he has had no response from his emails to Ryan, or his tour manager. However, he did wish for his name to be changed, to remain anonymous in the case he does receive a reward for Ryan’s stolen property.
I’m sure he is very frustrated after hearing of such an enormous reward, and not receiving a response. As I said before, I was very surprised Ryan would offer so much money for the items. Even though he claims he had everything on that laptop and hard drives, all his new music, for his next album Les Is More, and tons of priceless personal videos and photos from his life and travels. Hopefully, he comes forward and makes good on some kind of reward. Stay tuned!
i will pirate his new album if ryan’s not going to pay the old mans reward.
