CHRIS BROWN INTERVIEW ON ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’

By

With Chris Brown’s much anticipated new album F.A.M.E. hitting stores today the R&B heartthrob has been making his promo runs, and this morning Brown visited ABC’s ‘Good Morning America,’ but it wasn’t a good morning for the young star. When host Robin Roberts opened their interview with, and tried to really focus on the Rihanna incident and his assault charge, his blood started to boil and you could see the anger coming off him. As he tried to return the focus to the music and his album, it got more and more tense. Prior to the interview he performed “Yeah 3x” and was scheduled to record another web-only performance, but blew it off and exited the building.

According to TMZ, he was so angry following the appearance that he lost control, started screaming loudly, and ended up breaking a window in his dressing room. He vented his frustration on Twitter with an errant tweet that he later deleted. “I’m so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t,” he wrote, adding a more positive note in its wake. “All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I’m so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!”

Roberts claims that she and her “GMA” staff spoke with Chris prior to the on-air interview and approved “a few questions” about the Rihanna incident. She insists that she did not try to set him up, saying, “I’m pulling for the guy.”

Follow the jump for the interview.

Shit! This is messed up! I’ve been really pulling for Chris since day one. We all know what he did was so wrong and there will never be an excuse or way to make it up. He did his court appointed requirements and the judge was pleased. Rihanna even agreed to lift the restraining order. Everything has been going so well for the kid, the music is great, the press has been crazy. But, this right here! SMH, this just literally put him back all the way. I don’t even want to try and justify it. Yes, he is still young, he should have expected some questions, maybe his PR should have made it clear through a contract that they can’t ask questions about the incident, but that would probably make them not even agree to the interview. Good Morning America is a giant platform for promo, it doesn’t get much bigger, especially morning TV. So WTF was Chris thinking? They will probably never welcome him back, at least for a long time, and the gossip press is going to have a fucking field day with this!

Chris, bro, you are going to have to learn to accept that no one is forgetting about your past, you will live with this for the rest of your career, yet alone, life. You better get to a place where you can accept that, and just talk about it maturely. You have been in such a good mood as of late, and every previous interview has been great. If you showed class and talked about the situation positively, this interview right here could have done #’s for you! I mean all Robin really wanted was some meaningful words, and maybe some emotion, it was good news, she was asking how you are now that the order has been relaxed/removed. I hope this doesn’t mess up the whole promo campaign for F.A.M.E., but man this let me down.

What do you guys think?

Brian update: First of all, none of us can imagine what it must feel like for the whole world to turn on you. People that don’t even know you; hate you. But isn’t that what Chris Brown is paid millions for? Our history is well, our history and will always be part of us. We can never escape it and sometimes we will be confronted by it from time-to-time. Chris may need a little bit more media training for times like this, public speaking is important no matter the platform, especially when the internet can make a street corner interview of you acting a fool “Dateline” material. The other day, as in yesterday the other day, Wexx and I were talking about how CB is unstoppable right now, and the only thing that can mess him up; is well, Him doing something stupid…….. Again we may not know how he feels, or what turmoil he wakes up too? But he is a public figure and gets paid generously for it also, it’s part of the game kid! Answer the question, smile in their face, kiss their ugly babies and basically accept the good with the bad in this industry.

THATS FACKIN BULLLSHIT MATE……honestly this interview does not rate chris brown at alll…She knew what she was doing…People do not ask R kelly ‘how was it pee-ing on a minor’!!Seriously chris brown did the right thing…he did not need to address what was said..If you ask me he should let that woman know her place…I got mad watching it…FACCCK THE MEDIA

Dude, don’t get me wrong, I feel you, but the media will always do it! R. Kelly didn’t even do half the amount of interviews Chris is doing, and that are done these days, plus he wouldn’t have acted that way, and yes he was asked about that for years, shit people still talk about it when Kellz discussions come up. The media is evil, we know, but that isn’t what he should have done. Everyday adults watching that show don’t think he made the right discussion, and he needs Woman to buy the album. It wasn’t during the interview that was his issue, it was his actions afterward that were so wrong.

But shit, I guess he’s living that Charlie Sheen rock star life. Too bad he’s not an actual rock or rap artist, then that might have actually helped.

That was bullshit….. As she said in the interview “They had the interview before, when her hair was shorter”. Now that he’s back on to promote the album. She just wants to focus on that same shit again!!!!! GTFOH with that bullshit post u put up. An we all know that Rihanna slapped the shit out of him first because of a text. Giving him no excuse, But they were both under age & drinking and he lost it….. He did his community service, Rihanna forgave him, & The judge forgave…… Now let that man live!!!! Everybody deserves a second chance from Vick, R. Kelly, & now Chris Brown.

I think he handled it on camera just fine really..she kept pushing it. I feel bad for the guy honestly. He’s trying so hard to make a comeback. But it is inevitable that people are gonna hate him or bring it up so I wished (as a fan) he didn’t get mad bc it gives haters more to talk about.

The media in our country will NEVER let it go tho. Its fucking sad.

I’m pulling for Chris Brown, I hope F.A.M.E. sells big and he gets back to the Grammys.

Again, I agree with you guys partly, but your missing the real issue. The interview portion was ok, he held it together. It was off camera where the real trouble started. Running off stage, ripping his shirt off? Trashing his dressing room? Breaking a window!? You guys really think this is ok for a pop star to do?
