Cee Lo Green has been working like a machine. In addition to his judging gig on NBC’s “The Voice,” talk show hosting role, and touring schedule, the singer is prepping a new Gnarls Barkley album.
The “F**k You” hitmaker told UsMagazine that he and Danger Mouse are recording a follow-up to 2008’s Grammy-winning LP The Odd Couple.
“There is a new Gnarls Barkley album coming out!” revealed Cee Lo, whose talk show “Talking to Strangers” premieres June 22 on Fuse. “There is a whole bunch of stuff with the collaborations. Hopefully people will like what I am doing, that is always a plus.”
He offered up a few more details on what fans of the “Crazy” duo can expect. “I would hope it would break more grounds,” he added. “Knowing the nature of the space that we shared, I am pretty sure it will be somewhat similar.”
In the meantime, catch Cee Lo performing hits from his latest solo album The Lady Killer on Rihanna’s “LOUD” tour. “I am very excited to be a part of it,” he said. “[Rihanna] is very talented and she puts on a great show and I don’t do so badly. J. Cole is great too. It is a great package to see if you are in town.”
