The Internet was buzzing last month when an unfinished version of a new Mary J. Blige/Nicki Minaj collaboration called “Feel Inside” leaked. When Rap-Up TV spoke with Andrea Martin at the ASCAP Awards, the songwriter confirmed that she penned the song and that it will likely be the new single from Mary’s album My Life II: The Journey Continues, due September 20.
Martin, who wrote “It Kills Me” for Melanie Fiona and “Better in Time” for Leona Lewis, has been working on other records for the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul and offered a hint of what’s to come. “She has some special guests on the album that I can’t mention right now ’cause it’s a surprise, but you guys are gonna love it,” she said.
In addition to MJB, Martin has been in the studio with Anthony Hamilton, Jennifer Hudson, and Lewis.
