Last night Alicia Keys celebrated the 10th Anniversary of her debut album, songs in A minor, in her hometown of New York City. The concert held at the Beacon Theatre was part of her “Piano & I: A One Night Only Event with Alicia Keys” series, which she previously brought to England, France and Los Angeles.
Surrounded by candles while seated at the piano, a Givenchy-clad Alicia played the groundbreaking album from top to bottom, mixing in other career-spanning hits and covers of DeBarge’s “Stay With Me,” Tupac’s “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” and Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love.”
