Ne-Yo has a new addition to his family. Less than a year after the birth of his daughter, the Grammy-winning singer is a father once again.
The 31-year-old star, born Shaffer Smith, and actress Monyetta Shaw welcomed their second child together on Monday, October 10, his rep confirms to PEOPLE. The sex and name of the baby are currently unknown.
The couple, who denied engagement reports, also has a daughter named Madilyn Grace, born last November. “Welcoming that lil’ girl to the world defined for me what ‘willing to kill and die for’ truly means. My world, my life, all hers,” a joyous Ne-Yo tweeted after her birth.
Ne-Yo recently performed at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales and is working on his fifth album, tentatively titled “The Cracks In Mr. Perfect,” for release next year.
