Estelle has certainly kept fans waiting as she has been nurturing the progress of her anticipated third album, All of Me, three years to be exact. The album finally has an official release date of February 28th, preceded by the success of singles “Break My Heart” featuring Rick Ross and the akon-penned break-up ballad “Thank You.” Fans have another reason to be excited for the project though, has Estelle has enlisted the talents of R&B stars Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Janelle Monae.
During a private industry album listening, held this past Wednesday night, the British songstress previewed tracks from the new album for a crowd of writers and bloggers. Estelle’s label boss and fellow soul crooner John Legend, made an appearance as well to discuss the album with the crowd, as they previewed 10 cuts from the forthcoming release. Two of the stand-outs feature Estelle’s R&B peers. On “International (Serious),” a track about the jetsetting lifestyle, Estelle enlisted Chris Brown and Trey Songz, two other world travelers with global status. She thought, “Why don’t we get on a record and get cocky and talk about traveling and being bougie and shit?”
On “Do My Thing” Estelle duets with the incredible Janelle Monáe, on the suiting upbeat retro track, and Ne-Yo handles the pen. A possible single and certainly fan favorite. Other tracks include “Love The Way We Used To,” “Cold Crush,” “Wonderful Life,”Back To Love” and “Speak Ya Mind,” in which she stated “I think women are expected to do what they’re told, and that’s some bullshit.”
Estelle’s All of Me will not disappoint to say the least, look for it at retail and digital outlets on February 28th.
