The past year, 2011, was nothing short of a historical time for Tyrese Gibson. The singer/actor/author made a triumphant return musically with the release of his album Open Invitation, which debuted at #1, and spawned the #1 single “Stay.” To coincide with this feat, he starred in 2 major, blockbuster movies Fast 5, and Transformers 3, and had his first book “How To Get Out of Your Own Way” land on the New York Best Sellers list, along with being nominated for an African American Literary Award.
The success of Ty’s return to R&B music, however, was an amazing accomplishment, and one that has left him hungry to continue pursuing his first love. While, he is not finished promoting the latest album, with plans to release more singles and videos, Tyrese has already begun the planning of his follow-up. The LA native took to Twitter to announce the album title and planned release time for the new LP.

Tyrese stated via Twitter early Tuesday morning, the title for his next album will be … “Black Rose” … and we can expect it in 2013. Along with the tweet, he included the image below…
