Chris Brown officially launched his Symphonic Love Foundation with a visual, musical, and performing arts festival at the Lafayette Recreation Center in Los Angeles on Monday. The R&B superstar posed for photos with children and spray-painted murals on the walls, later enjoying a performance from The Debbie Allen Dance Academy.
Symphonic Love creates arts programs for youth while encouraging public service, respect, and kindness. It also provides grants in two areas: Art and Love. In 2012, Chris gave over $200,000 in grants to organizations including AIDS Project Los Angeles and the Jenesse Center.
“It definitely has been a labor of love. That what it’s all about for me—art and love,” said Chris in a statement. “Art influences every aspect of my life completely. It helps me to be myself. Focusing on positivity and love helps you have respect for yourself and others. It’s what I strive for, so I hope this foundation and the website encourages everyone to express themselves creatively and be who they want to be.”
Breezy is also working with his mother and aunt on an arts and recreation center in his hometown of Tappahannock, Virginia.
