Chrisette Michele just released her new mixtape project “Audrey Hepburn: An Audiovisual Presentation,” but she is looking toward next year for the release of her fourth album, currently titled “Better.” The soulful songstress has spent her professional music career on Def Jam, but the title track to her forthcoming album has landed on the newly released “Motown Music Sampler Vol. 1.” As you might if you follow this site often, Ne-Yo transferred this deal from Def Jam to Motown, and also assumed a VP of A&R position, in which he is very much involved. The storied label is looking to rebuild their legacy and come back strong in the new year with up and coming acts such as BJ The Chicago Kid, Stacy Barthe, MPrynt, B Smyth, STORi and Kevin Ross. While, they might be unknown to you know, these are all names to remember as we head into the new year.
Chrisette Michele is looking to recapture the sound and feeling so many fell in love with on her first two albums, as she preps for the release of Better. We can say she honestly does just that with the soulful title track. Take a listen below, and check out the full Motown sampler as well…
