As expected, Beyonce is nearing completion of her fifth studio album, and frequent collaborator, The-Dream, says she will definitely have new music out before her much-anticipated Super Bowl performance on February 3, maybe multiple songs…
“She’s got her stuff going. She took the summer to start recording, and now she’s in a place where she’s ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan,” the songwriter/producer told Billboard. “She’s already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out,” he says. “I’m sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here.”
The-Dream will release his 2011 free album “1977” as a physical product on December 18, and he’s still focused on Beyonce’s next album, following his contributions to Rihanna’s No. 1 album, Unapologetic. “I was literally doing [projects by] Bey and Rihanna at the same time, and actually I sprinkled a little Mariah [Carey] in there,” says the Atlanta native. “It’s not overwhelming, but it can be if I let it, at times. There’s days where I can only sleep an hour and thirty minutes.”
