Cassie has laid low following her most recent songs “Balcony” featuring Young Jeezy, and “King of Hearts.” Aside from her recent collaboration with Nicki Minaj on “The Boys,” the famous model / sometimes-singer, is continuing to work on her much-delayed sophomore album, but not before she releases the mixtape entitled ‘RockaByeBaby.’ Unexpectedly, she has premiered a brand new song off the project titled “End of The Line,” with an accompanying music video…
In the December issue of The Source magazine, Cassie describes her second album as, “sampling everything from trap beats to ’90s records.” In addition she explained, “I’ve been working on my mixtape and album simultaneously for the past year. The mixtape is called RockaByeBaby. I feel that it’s a level of music that I haven’t been able to explore as an artist yet. It’s a tougher side of my personality.”
With over 100 songs recorded to complete her best work to date, the 26-year old feels now the time is right. “I feel confident now that it sounds its best and that people will really appreciate it. I am still currently working on my album, which is yet to be titled. It marries the world of the mixtape with pop radio music. I’m very proud of both projects and how my sound has evolved.”
In an interesting coincidence, a very thorough project of Cassie’s music career has surfaced online, under the title “Cassie: The Unreleased Classics Trilogy.” A 3-set collection of her released and unreleased songs set to a theme similar to The Weeknd. Check it out here. Watch the new video below…
