During a recent trip to the UK, R&B veteran Brian McKnight sat for an interview with AmaruDonTV. The singer/songwriter spoke about his upcoming album ‘More Than Words,’ describing the title and what fans can expect from the material. Brian also shared what he goes to for inspiration, the recording process with his two sons and the nature of the new music business.
When asked what his expectations are for the new LP he explained, “I look at my records now like indie films, I’m trying to create something magical, something smart, something that will last. If it doesn’t sell as many as [someone like] Lady Gaga or anything close, I’m fine with that, because I’m a 43-year old romantic singer, and we are a dying breed; I create because I can’t not create.”
Brian McKnight’s new album ‘More Than Words‘ is due out March 5.
