During their New Years interview with Ne-Yo, MTV had to inquire about his recent studio sessions with Beyonce, and her upcoming album. As expected he swore to secrecy on the style and vibe of the songs, but the hitmaker did address working with Bey post child-birth.
“To be honest with you, no. No, it’s pretty much, she’s had the exact same drive that she’s always had,” he told MTV News. “She’s not a person that slacks off in the studio. I mean it’s not like slave labor or nothing like that; she’s not cracking the whip. But it’s definitely ‘Let’s get the job done; let’s get the best song possible produced or written out of this experience.’ And it’s the exact same thing now.”
Beyonce is expected to release new music in the coming weeks, leading up to her major performance at the Super Bowl XLVII Pepsi Halftime Show.
