You know R&B is not going anywhere when you have a strong crop of young up and comers looking to launch their career in the genre. Newcomer Trevor Jackson is one of the fresh faces/voices who hopes to win over the world with his own R&B flavor.
Beginning his career on Broadway (as Simba in The Lion King) and behind the camera lens for multiple TV commercials and shows such as Cold Case, the Los Angeles native is now ready to follow his dreams in music. Trevor is signed to Atlantic Records and he just released the single “Like We Grown,” with an accompanying music video.
“My favorite part about making this video was that I was able to work with a lot of my friends, so it didn’t seem like work, we were just having fun,” he explained. “The concept of the video was a combination of how the director (Mike Ho) and I would approach a girl.”
