Beyoncé shocked many when she showed off her incredibly fit physique on the cover of GQ earlier this year. Now, the R&B queen is sharing her figure and facts on how she lost her baby weight and has to struggle to stay in such amazing shape, with SHAPE magazine.
In the issue, Beyoncé reveals how she lost the 57 pounds she gained while pregnant with daughter Blue Ivy. “I didn’t have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again,” she laughed.
While it may appear otherwise, Bey admits that she too has to work very hard to shed the weight. “I’m not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape.”
She credits dancing and all her dance rehearsing for keeping her fit, while offering some advice to others. “I would just say, everyone is not supposed to be the same. Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you you.”
