Tyrese Gibson has had a storied career, from overcoming his tough youth years in Watts, California, to being discovered as a model/singer and landing his famous Coca-Cola commercial. Which spawned a successful music career, multiple hit singles, and two Grammy nominations. As an actor, he rose to prominence starring in 2001’s Baby Boy, but over more recent years Tyrese’s acting career has skyrocketed due to roles in such blockbuster film franchises as Transformers and Fast & Furious. Along with his success in the entertainment acts, the 34-year old is now an accomplished best-selling author with two books, ‘How To Get Out of Your Own Way’ and this years ‘Manology’ with Rev Run. In addition, Ty, returned to music in 2011 with his first independent album Open Invitation, which spawned the #1 single “Stay,” and landed him a Grammy nomination for ‘Best R&B Album.’

The road to his accomplishments has been a struggle to say the least, and now Tyrese is sharing his story in the upcoming documentary ‘A Black Rose That Grew From The Concrete.’ Take a look at the official trailer above, and stay tuned for the films release on March 31.
