Tyrese is a busy man. Between filming upcoming movies Fast 6, Black Nativity, promoting his new book ‘Manology ‘with Rev Run, hitting the road for shows and beginning promo for the upcoming TGT (Tyrese, Ginuwine, Tank) album, and all the other random business and personal trips. He still found time to record his own next solo album ‘Black Rose‘ earlier this year. While the album, which is rumored to be a double disk, isn’t slated for release until next year, the multi-talented star is prepping to build some early anticipation by releasing the ‘Black Rose‘ documentary. The behind-the-scenes film will be released on March 20, and it is expected to feature footage from his month-long recording process, from this past January, at a rented property in Arizona.
In related news, it appears the much rumored Teddy Pendergrass biopic is officially heading into production, with Tyrese playing the role of the legendary soul singer. It was previously reported that Ty had secured the rights to make the film a couple years ago, and he has been talking about the role ever since.
“Teddy Pendergrass Movie Coming Soon!!! It’s a dream role I hope I make him proud.!!!!,” shared Tyrese. “And I hope @theoriginalbigdaddy directs me in this passion project.!!!! Lee Daniels is genius.!!!”
