As you should know by now, Mariah Carey is making her comeback this year by lending her talents to Disney’s new motion picture Oz The Great and Powerful, which hit theaters today. Carey delivers the powerful Pop ballad, “Almost Home,” as the lead single off the films soundtrack. The superstar diva, who has been busy with her judging role on ‘American Idol,’ helps bring the song to life in the official music video, directed by David LaChapelle.
Rocking a glamorous gown Mimi belts out the Stargate-produced record in the black-and-white clip, which features scenes from the movie, that stars James Franco and Mila Kunis.
Mariah has been working hard on her new album, continuing to record as much material as possible until she feels it is absolutely perfect. The album, while currently untitled, is due this May, and is expected to include production from Jermaine Dupri & Bryan Michael Cox, The-Dream, Hit-Boy and Big Jim Wright. Watch MC’s new video below:
