In a new clip from Eric Bellinger‘s chat with Rap-Up TV, the singer/songwriter shares some details about his work with Usher on his upcoming album. He explained the direction is more R&B, more Urban, and Usher has admitted, “This is the one where I have to show I’m still Usher.” Eric has been in the studio working with Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael Cox and Brian Alexander Morgan on tracks for the superstar.
If you weren’t aware Eric and Usher have formed a very strong working relationship. They recently collaborated on the Diplo-produced “Go Missin’” and previously worked on records including “Lemme See,” “I Care for U,” and our favorite, “What Happened To U” off Looking 4 Myself.
In addition to helping resurface the R&B side of superstars like Usher and Chris Brown, Eric has also been in the lab working with Keri Hilson on her new album. “We worked on a song with RoccStar and Timbaland that’s absolutely something that you haven’t heard. It’s just completely different,” said Bellinger, whose mixtape Born II Sing, Vol. III drops here on April 15. “Timbaland has come back and recreated his sound.”
