Kelly Rowland has some exciting collaborations coming up on her new album Talk A Good Game. The Destiny’s Child diva has already secured Beyoncé and Michelle on the song “You Changed,” and has tracks with Wiz Khalifa, Pharrell and or course Lil Wayne on “ICE.”
However, there is another feature she is hoping to lock down. “I have something I want [Nas] to be on right now,” she told Radio.com. “I just have to ask him.”
She went on to explain how Mariah Carey inspired her ideal collaboration. “[I heard] an incredible collaboration [he did] with Joe and Mariah and it felt good.”
The song Rowland referenced is, “Thank God I Found You (Make It Last Forever) (Remix),” from Mariah’s 1999 album Rainbow, in which she updated Keith Sweat’s “Make It Last Forever” with a rap verse from Nas and vocals from Joe.
“I have a record and I kinda wanna do that, too,” said Rowland. “Taking a page from Mariah’s book, respecting her. I would love to collaborate with Nas and Joe on a song that I have.”
