Emeli Sandé is breaking records and selling platinum numbers overseas. As she continues to breakout in the US, the songstress adds to her resumé a song on a major motion picture soundtrack. The Scottish singer/songwriter, who has recently written for Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Fantasia takes a lead of faith by remaking Beyoncé’s classic song “Crazy In Love.”
For the jazzy cover Emeli collaborated with The Bryan Ferry Orchestra, creating a retro 1920’s big band sound to the 2003 hit single. She joins the likes of Jay-Z, Lana Del Rey, will.i.am, Jack White, Andre 3000 and Beyoncé herself on the film’s star-studded soundtrack, available May 7.
Take a listen to the brassy remake after the jump. What do you think??
I absolutely love it
