The-Dream and Kelly Rowland are taking their collaborations out from the studio and onto the road. In addition to working together on each other’s upcoming albums, the R&B vixen and the platinum hitmaker are planning a tour for this summer.
Kelly hinted at the outing during an interview with Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” earlier this month, but now The-Dream has made it official.
“It’s already confirmed,” he exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “We’re just working out the details right now.”
Dates have yet to be announced, but they are looking to start next month. “I think it’s starting somewhere around the end of May through June to the top of July,” he reveals.
The-Dream duets with Kelly on “Where Have You Been,” co-produced by Da Internz. “Just a signature R&B duet record, no games, no nothing, straight down the middle,” he says of the track, which will appear on his album IV Play. “It was a chance for me to bond with another friend now that I have, which is Kelly.”
He also contributed to her upcoming album Talk a Good Game. “We worked on a couple records for her album, including one record called ‘Dirty Laundry’ that I produced and wrote.”
In addition to Kelly, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Big Sean, Fabolous, and Mary J. Blige are set to appear on IV Play, due May 28.
