The-Dream is dealing with a sample nightmare, according to an interview with VIBE. The platinum hitmaker has revealed his anticipated record “Fire,” which is featuring Beyoncé, might not be able to make the final cut of his upcoming album IV Play.
“You might not hear [Beyonce] on the album because there’s a sample issue we’re having. We’ll be praying about that,” Dream tells VIBE. “We could switch it up but it’s almost like this particular sample made the record. So, if it’s not right then we don’t do it. I do don’t songs ‘just because’.”
As this news will surely sadden some, Dream is still excited because he finally got his verse from Jay-Z.
“We finally got that Hov verse on there. That shit is crazy,” he said about their collaboration, “High Art.” “I also got Gary Clark Jr. on “Too Early In The Morning.” That record is going to destroy something.”
The Dream also revealed to VIBE that he plans to head to Paris to get a week and a half in the studio with Kanye, before he begins the promo run for his album. He also recently gave Timbaland several songs for his upcoming album and has plans to get into the studio with Usher.
IV Play is in stores on May 28.

That song BETTER be on the album
so… the only thing that “makes” this record is him sampling another record? *smh*
