This past Saturday, industry insiders and music fans alike were treated to a special intimate gathering and performance in NYC, at the famed Sterling Sound Studios. The special event was the first of a new party series titled, ‘The-Kick-Back,’ presented by Ron Faison and Rodney Rikai. The space provided a chill and comfortable setting for folks to relax, enjoy some catered food and drinks, and take in some intimate performances from a few of R&B’s brightest newcomers.

Opening the nights performances was rising singer/songwriter Sonyaé Elise, who previously won the inaugural season of Bravo’s songwriting competition show ‘Platinum Hit.’ The New Jersey native treated the audience with a stellar acoustic set. The nights main attraction was Roc Nation songstress Bridget Kelly, who gracefully took the stage receiving a roaring applause, and performed a 3-song set of tracks from her debut mixtape “Every Girl,” including “My Heart” and “In The Morning,” then closing with her moving ballad “Special Delivery.”

As a surprise for the industry-heavy audience, hitmaking singer/songwriter Eric Bellinger was brought to the stage following Bridget, for a short performance of his own. Showcasing his vocal ability he opened with an a capella of R. Kelly, and got everyone in club mood with his songs “ASAP” and “Say No,” off his recently released, buzz-worthy mixtape, “Born II Sing Vol. III.”

Eric, Bridget and Sonyaé were also supported by fellow hitmaking singer/songwriter, Elijah Blake, who came through to watch his friends perform. Check out more photos below:

This article need to be pull down and rewritten because there are several mistakes. As a popular website, bloggers should simply take the time out to their research. No disrespect to Eric Bellinger, but he was an add on to the show. The headline should included Bridget Kelly and Sonyae’ Elise  and/or all three. Secondly, the blogger misspelled Sonyae’ Elise’s name, in which anyone would find insulting. Sonyae’ KILLED this performance and should have been given the proper recognition.
