The-Dream is the latest artist to perform an exclusive set for AOL Sessions. The platinum hitmaker, dressed in his Chicago Bulls attire, brought the heat, performing past hits such as “Rockin’ That Thang,” “I Luv Your Girl,” “Fancy” and a special debut performance of his new song, “Too Early,” which features Gary Clark Jr.. The later cut, is one of the standout joints off his forthcoming album IV Play, which is in stores next week May 28.
Dream also sat down for an interview, where he discussed the process of making this LP, standing up for R&B with his song “Slow It Down” which he explained was to address the battle of the genre always fighting to stand out amongst Hip-Hop and Pop Dance. The issue of color lines and race within popular music now, the nature of releasing music in today’s industry, and more.
