Janelle Monáe comes to life in the artsy music video for her new single “Q.U.E.E.N.” featuring Erykah Badu. The Alan Ferguson-directed visual takes place in a futuristic museum where Monáe and her Wondaland Arts Society have been frozen for observation, and become awaken when a visitor plays an all-white vinyl record of the single.
The eclectic entertainer gets down to the funky song, in her black and white attire, dancing and groovin with her female crew. Meanwhile her BFF, Erykah Badu plays an outrageous character named Badoula Oblongata, who struts her stuff while walking a grey poodle, and wears some avant-garde outfits.
The female anthem is the first single off Janelle’s upcoming album The Electric Lady, which is due this summer. Peep the new video below:
LOVED THIS SONG…. BUT IS SHE COMING OUT OF THE CLOSET??? LISTEN TO THE LYRICS CLOSELY.
