Michelle Williams is ready to get back to the music. With her Destiny’s Child sisters both releasing new albums this year, and their reunion at the Super Bowl, Michelle has announced the release date for her new single, “If We Had Your Eyes.”
“I am so happy to announce my new single ‘If We Had Your Eyes’ – Luv ya,” tweeted the 32-year-old singer, who most recently starred in the Tony Award-winning musical “Fela!”
She posted a 30-second clip of the song’s instrumental on YouTube, while the full track is set to debut on June 24. The song represents a “new era” and “new sound” for Williams, who will release her fourth solo album on eOne Music later this year. She recently told Billboard at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony that Harmony Samuels (Fantasia, Kelly Rowland) will be producing the majority of the new album.
“I want to thank you all for your patience and love! I am so excited for you guys to hear what I have cooked up with @HarmonyBOE,” she added.
