ThisisRnB TV recently caught up with Kevin McCall on the red carpet at the 2013 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards last Thursday.
The singer/songwriter spoke about his very unexpected and unique collaborative project with rock artist Marilyn Manson, which he deemed ‘different’ but along the lines of ‘rock soul.’
Kevin also hinted at a follow-up release to his recent ‘Sextape‘ EP. His goal right now is to really make fans and listeners aware of who he is as an artist, he’s a singer first, but he might happen to rap occasionally.
“People thought I was a rapper because of ‘Deuces,’ but it wasn’t that, it was because I was a songwriter, after Tyga and Chris’ verse it’s only a rap verse left so I had to rap,” Kevin explained. “People liked it, so it was cool, but I’m really tryin to let people know, I’m a singer, I love to sing.”
In related news, Kevin is expecting a child with his girlfriend, Eva Marcille. The model/actress, who is five months pregnant, confirmed the news to BET, “Being able to bring a life into the world is every woman’s dream but for me it’s more than just a dream it is a magical, mystical journey which I get to share with this amazing man.” Eva adds, “Kevin is the only man who I would share this moment in life with.”
