Less than a week away from her debut album release, K. Michelle chats with Vh1 about the process of sequencing the LP, ‘Rebellious Soul.’
Originally with the intention to have the tracklist tell a story, K switched it around to just made sure it had a good ‘feeling and mood.’ She talks about the hidden interludes on the project, including her comedic skit ‘Coochie Symphony,’ “It’s a full orchestra piece on my coochie being broke,” explains K.
In another clip the Memphis songstress talks about coming up with the title of her album, and her process of creating records. Additionally she talks about the stories and meaning behind songs such as “Pay My Bills,” “My Life,” “Damn” and more.
Rebellious Soul hits stores on August 13.
