We first featured emerging singer/songwriter Mike Jay last December, with his song “Other Side of the Rope.” As a writer Mike has collaborated with artists such as Chris Brown, Ciara, Jeremih, Babyface and more. While working alongside production team “The Underdogs,” Mike gained platinum success co-writing Chris Brown’s hit single “Turn Up The Music,” along with the song “Free Run,” both of which are off Brown’s last album Fortune.
As he transitions to his own career as an artist, Mike who is associated with The Row Crew, has connected with platinum hitmaker JR Rotem and released the heavily west coast inspired new single, “For A Week” featuring YG and Too Short. With a perfect combination of snap and classic west coast rap synths this joint will easily ring off in the whip and the clubs.
