While Mariah Carey continues to heal from her injury this summer, the Pop icon is still putting the finishing touches on her upcoming album ‘The Art of Letting Go.’ The delayed project, which was expected to be released this past July, was pushed back indefinitely following an announcement MC made back in June.
“While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel it would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23,” Carey revealed on Twitter. “I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs, I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know.”
Well, it appears she is getting serious in wrapping up the LP with even more heavy-hitters. Just last night, Mimi was in the studio with her frequent collaborators Jermaine Dupri and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, but also in the building were Hit-Boy and Mike Will Made It.
