Mary J. Blige has a gift for her fans this holiday season. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul has unwrapped the star-studded tracklisting for her first-ever Christmas album.
Blige joins forces with David Foster, the Grammy-winning producer behind multi-platinum Christmas albums for Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, and Celine Dion.
The album features soulful interpretations of classic holiday tunes including “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “The Christmas Song.” She duets with Barbra Streisand on “When You Wish Upon a Star” and Jessie J on “Do You Hear What I Hear,” while The Clark Sisters join Blige on “The First Noel” and Marc Anthony guests on “Noche de Paz.”
“The past few months have been such an amazing time for me, the highlight being my work with David Foster,” said Blige. “I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to make this soulful and classic Christmas album with David. David’s music has touched so many talented artists and I am grateful to be a part of this collaboration. I am so proud of what we created and I believe my fans will love the album as much as I do.”
