A jury reached a verdict on Wednesday in the case claiming AEG Live, the promoter of Michael Jackson’s comeback concert “This Is It,” was negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor responsible for the superstar’s drug overdose.
The panel of six men and six women began deliberating on Sept. 26, more than five months after the start of the trial that offered an unprecedented look into the superstar’s private life.
The panel unanimously rejected the lawsuit brought by Jackson’s mother that sought to financially punish AEG Live.
