On Wednesday evening, music publishing organization ASCAP held their 5th annual ‘Women Behind The Music’ series in New York City. The event, which was held at Lexicon, honored singer/songwriter Stacy Barthe, music executive/manager Tina Davis and MBK Entertainment VP & Managing Partner Jeanine Mclean.
The stars and industry came out to support the ladies, including K. Michelle and Sevyn Streeter who helped tribute the honorees with special performances.
Backed by a keyboardist K. Michelle delved into a stirring and unique rendition of the jazz classic “Summertime.” While, Sevyn Streeter performed a stripped down acoustic version of her top 5 single “It Won’t Stop.”
