In addition to the re-release of his acclaimed holiday album What Christmas Means, Kem will be hitting the road for the upcoming Christmas season on the “What Christmas Means Tour.”
The short trek will kick off in Washington D.C. on Dec. 14 with comedian Anthony Anderson and include special guests Patti LaBelle and Ron Isley on select dates. The holiday themed play/concert, written by Latteras R. Whitfield, is focused on an uplifting holiday journey mixed with original and classic Christmas songs.
“We wanted to bring a fresh approach to the concert-going experience by weaving a holiday-themed storyline throughout, with interspersed performances by myself and some of R&B’s most talented vocalists,” Kem stated. “I’m so excited to present this new concept, and to perform onstage with Patti LaBelle, Ron Isley and some of my other friends with incredible voices.”
