In addition to John Legend, Alicia Keys has contributed to the motion picture soundtrack of the new film ‘12 Years a Slave.’ The R&B diva delivers an emotional and soul-stirring performance on “Queen of the Field (Patsey’s Song).”
The piano-laden tune tells the story of a girl born into slavery and her struggle to survive through the horrible circumstances, while learning who she really is.
‘12 Years a Slave‘ is playing in select theaters now, and the soundtrack will hit stores tomorrow November 5.
