Part of the cast of the upcoming film ‘Black Nativity,’ including Tyrese, Luke James and Jacob Latimore, paid a visit to Power 105.1 in NYC for an interview on ‘The Breakfast Club.’
The singers/actors spoke about the holiday film, which is a modern remake of Langston Hughes classic 1961 story. The movie, which hits theaters on Nov. 27 also stars Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Mary J. Blige, Nas and more.
In between jokes and jabs from Charlamagne the three gentlemen spoke about their roles, who was singing the best, the importance of a film like this, and why Hollywood actually respects movies and acting like this over the big blockbusters. In addition they addressed the stereotypes of ‘black’ films, and how to get out of that box.
