While the first time mother may have been in company of friends and family for NYE, her album was still busy moving units throughout the world. According to the Nielsen SoundScan, Beyoncé’s self-titled project closed out the year in the top spot selling over 310,000 copies in the last week of December alone. Debuting with 617,000 copies during its first week and 374,000 within its second week, the album totaled a total number of 1.3 million sales within the first 17 days.

Must be good to her…
