While on the red carpet at the 5th annual ESSENCE Black Women in Music event this past week, Chrisette Michele spoke briefly with BlackTree TV and revealed some big news. The soulful singer, who will also be starring in the new season of ‘R&B Divas: Los Angeles,’ is back in the studio working on a special project.
Chrisette announced that she is recording a new album entitled “The Lyricist Opus,” and she has hired an orchestra to record with. Additionally she has some special music videos on the way, in which she only said will feature dancers.
“It’s all about the music, all about the musicians, all about live instrumentation,” expressed Chrisette.
She also revealed that the project is expected to be released on May 26!
