Well here’s an unexpected duo. Powerhouse vocalist Mariah Carey and Prince of VA, Trey Songz, have decided to join forces and bring fans the remix to the diva’s upcoming new single “You’re Mine (Eternal)”. While Mariah debuted the regular version of the song this past Saturday at the taping of the BET Honors, the international singer has already recorded the remix, which will feature heartthrob Songz, and shot music videos for both versions!
Arriving digitally on February 12, both versions of “You’re Mine (Eternal),” will land just in time for Valentine’s Day. Said to be “another classic anthem,” we’re very interested in seeing how Trigga will play into the Pop icon’s layout of the song.
Premiering the video to the standard version at 7:50 p.m. EST on MTV, Mariah will join Sway in New York to introduce the visual to all of her little Lambs. Filmed in Puerto Rico’s El Yungue National Rain Forest, we’re expecting the visual to follow true Mariah fashion and give us what we’ve missed these past 5 years. If you happen to miss the premiere on MTV, you can catch MC on BET this Valentine’s Day as she drops the remix video featuring Trey during the 106 & Park.
Her forthcoming album The Art of Letting Go is currently scheduled to arrive in stores on May 6.
