Since the end of last year we’ve been seeing a strong resurgence from Trey Songz. Starting with the Christmas release of “NaNa,” the R&B heartthrob has been appearing on multiple remixes, and dropping more of his own originals, including the Jeezy-assisted “Ordinary.”
While, we’ve heard rumblings of his plans to release a new album this year, Trey has officially confirmed the news, for the first time, to a group of kids at New Era High in Baltimore. The Virginia native recently participated in the ‘Get Schooled’ program, visiting the school and acting as principal for a day.
“This is the first time I’m ever sayin this anywhere in the world, this may be subject to change, but as of now the album’s coming out June 30,” he told the kids. “Ya’ll the first people I’ve ever told in the world.” When asked what the album is going to be called, he simply replied “Trigga.”
Additionally, Trey has posted a Spotify playlist of his favorite love songs, past and present, for Valentine’s Day.
