Anthony Hamilton Calls On Pharrell For New Album

Known as one of the most talented soul singers of this generation, Anthony Hamilton is gearing up for the release of his new album. Stating that it will be sure to keep fans “on their toes”, the “Charlene” crooner tapped a few impressive producers to assist in the creation.

Calling on mega producer Pharrell to assist this time around, Anthony recently told BET.com:

“I’m gonna be going in with Pharrell. We haven’t been able to get our timing together, but we’ve been going back and forth trying to connect and we definitely still got the synergy going.”

Planning to deliver a new sound for fans, Hamilton also envisions calling on other heavy hitters such as Timbaland, 9th Wonder, and Salaam Remi. Sounds like an interesting collaboration of sounds, right?

While there’s no word on when the album is officially dropping or who else is confirmed to be on the album, we’re definitely interested in what Anthony has in store this time around. Referencing to the work that Beyoncé has done recently, Anthony states:

“It’s important to keep people on their toes, keep ’em guessing and keep ’em excited, like I like the way Beyoncé will go and do one of the biggest records you ever heard and then she’ll do one of the grimiest records you ever heard, so with Mark Sparks especially I want to go back to [the sound on] some of my old stuff, that raw and edgier sound.”

Excited? We are too. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what the soul man produces and hopefully, it’ll be this year.
