With her long-awaited, first independent album, Braveheart, landing in stores this past Tuesday, Ashanti has been on her heavy promo grind for the release. Following her special visit to the Apple store in Soho, NYC for a fan meet-and-greet, the R&B vixen took out some time to speak to our friends at YKIGS.
The “I Got It” songstress discussed being so personal and open with her lyrical content on the new LP, being an independent artist and dealing with all sides of the business, learning to ignore hate and negative comments that come her way, a gave a little background on her early deals before signing with Murder Inc.
