Musical pioneer Pharrell just keeps us smiling. Nabbing yet another cover story, the 41-year-old is already having one of the best years of his lengthy career.
Gracing the cover of ‘W‘ Magazine’s annual art issue, the mastermind of hits was the perfect pick for the timeless publication. Revealing that his infamous Vivienne Westwood designed hat is now trademarked, Skateboard P’s sit-down with Lynn Hirschberg was as interesting as we expected it to be.
Touching on his ever evolving role in music, the creation process on both mega hits “Blurred Lines” and “Happy,” Pharrell didn’t forget to unveil the title to his well-anticipated collaboration with adidas.
“I have a new clothing collaboration with Adidas,” he continued. “And it’s called adidas = Pharrell Williams. I know I can’t trademark the equal sign, and that’s fine with me because, you know what? It’s just… equal. The ‘Happy’ video is about equality; my music is about equality, and being associated with the idea of equal got me where I am now.”
