Jagged Edge are back! Following the announcement of their forthcoming eighth studio album ‘J.E. Heartbreak Too‘ and the release of their comeback single “Hope,” the R&B quartet are making sure everyone knows they are coming back strong. Taking to Power 105.1 in NYC for their first interview in promotion of the new project on Thursday, the fellas and Jermaine Dupri sat down for a lengthy chat with ‘The Breakfast Club.’
Starting out talking about their hiatus and where the idea came from to come back with a sequel to their multi-platinum selling 2000 album J.E. Heartbreak, they share the truth about what happened between them and JD and his label So So Def. Admitting it was all his issues with Sony at the time, JD took responsibility for their time apart, and expressed his excitement to be working together again.
The fellas talked about how touring has kept them alive throughout the years, thanks to the dedicated fans, their thoughts and feelings on mainstream R&B music today, being more like rappers that sing, past issue with Sisqo, dating LaTavia of Destiny’s Child, what Jagged Edge has to offer the game today and much more.

Today JE just lost me as a fan, I just read the open letter written by David Lee Brewer (Vocal Coach for Destiny’s Child). He told how Brandon Casey abused LaTavia Roberson and i believe it. This isnt the first time i’ve heard of this type of behavior from him but i chose not to believe but now i cant ignore it. JE just lost a fan and a few album sales
