The 2014 BET Awards continue to get stronger and stronger. After it was revealed that Robin Thicke was set to perform a new single off his upcoming album Paula, the network has officially announced that more chart topping names will be taking the stage.
In addition to superstar Nicki Minaj, three of this year’s biggest names in R&B have been added to the line-up of performers. Nine-time Grammy Award winner John Legend, buzzing L.A. songstress Jhene Aiko and New Orleans hip hop singer August Alsina will perform their latest hits at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.
In addition, K. Michelle and Mack Wilds will join Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz, and Jennifer Hudson at the STAPLES Center concert on Sunday, June 29.
Previously announced performers include Drake, Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, and Lionel Richie.
Hosted by Chris Rock, the 2014 BET Awards will air live on Sunday, June 29, at 8 p.m. EST.
