Robin Thicke has made it clear he is not willing to give up on his marriage to Paula Patton and he is doing whatever he can to ‘Get Her Back.’ Tomorrow (July 1), the soulful crooner will release his most personal and heartfelt album yet dedicated entirely to Paula.
The 14 tracks were written and produced by Thicke with titles inspired by his estranged wife including “You’re My Fantasy” and the lead single “Get Her Back.” After the couple separated earlier this year, Thicke has been on a mission to win her back.
He wrote the songs in about three weeks and recorded the album in a month. “She’s not just my wife, she’s been my very best friend for 20 years,” Thicke told Ryan Seacrest of his high school sweetheart. “I lost two people. That’s a lot to talk about.”
Last night, he performed one of the tracks, “Forever Love,” at the BET Awards. “I miss you and I’m sorry,” he said while dedicating the song to Patton.
He has also shot a video for “Still Madly Crazy,” which features 8-year-olds reenacting a wedding. “They’re singing the song and they have cake and they’re all dressed to a T,” he said.
Thanks to USA Today, you can now stream the entire album in advance of its Tuesday release.
